Billet \Bil"let\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Billeted}; p. pr. & vb.
n. {Billeting}.] [From {Billet} a ticket.] (Mil.)
To direct, by a ticket or note, where to lodge. Hence: To
quarter, or place in lodgings, as soldiers in private houses.
