吹毛求疵地

Finical \Fin"i*cal\, a. [From {Fine}, a.]
Affectedly fine; overnice; unduly particular; fastidious.
"Finical taste." --Wordsworth.
[1913 Webster]

The gross style consists in giving no detail, the
finical in giving nothing else. --Hazlitt.

Syn: {Finical}, {Spruce}, {Foppish}.

Usage: These words are applied to persons who are studiously
desirous to cultivate finery of appearance. One who is
spruce is elaborately nice in dress; one who is
finical shows his affectation in language and manner
as well as in dress; one who is foppish distinguishes
himself by going to the extreme of the fashion in the
cut of his clothes, by the tawdriness of his
ornaments, and by the ostentation of his manner. "A
finical gentleman clips his words and screws his body
into as small a compass as possible, to give himself
the air of a delicate person; a spruce gentleman
strives not to have a fold wrong in his frill or
cravat, nor a hair of his head to lie amiss; a foppish
gentleman seeks . . . to render himself distinguished
for finery." --Crabb. -- {Fin"i*cal*ly}, adv. --
{Fin"i*cal*ness}, n.
[1913 Webster]

  • What to expect from a 15 min introductory interview?
Fifteen minute conversations are designed for one purpose and one purpose only, in many cases That purpose is to make sure you're actually a viable candidate Research the company, know what they do, and don't say anything that's going to contradict the job description or company values Beyond that, don't sweat it

  • Men of Reddit, how long does it take you to come when you masturbate . . .
Usually I'm in the 2-5 minute range The only correlation between masturbation and lasting in bed is this: if I haven't in a while, I'm gonna cum pretty quick If I've beaten off 2-3 times that day (my usual) I take a little longer to get hard, but sex can last as long as I want it to

I haven’t gotten the 15 minute timer yet but if I do I will probably still get the mobile ones done Anyone who says they don’t pull out their phone and look at something useless 5 times throughout the day when you can mix a few searches in is lying You don’t have to stare at a clock for 15 minutes to pass to get them done
  • What is a good typing speed for people who have plenty of . . . - Reddit
The passing grade for 3 years of typing was 120 wpm, no mistakes For my first year it was 80 wpm, 5 mistakes in about a minute of typing Only took one year It is also worth nothing that typewriters have heavier, more slanted, keyboards, so 120wpm was harder to achieve (And line breaks involve moving the whole mechanism over!)
