  • Okemo or Mt. Snow??? | AlpineZone - Northeast Ski and Snowboard Forums
For what they have been dealt, Mount Snow had some good skiing But the warm weather on Friday (which made for awesome spring skiing) and then the rain last night, followed by drop in temp this morning, affected the trail count and made for icy conditions today If Okemo had more snow to start, I would think their recovery would be stronger
  • Okemo, Stratton, or Mount Snow? - AlpineZone
I'm a big fan of Mount Snow, but for your wife's ability I would go with okemo I've fell that their green trails are a bit more difficult than those at Mount Snow Okemo has a real nice vibe to it I did stay at Jackson Gore It's nice, but I think a bit over the top I prefer a nice lived in lodge to stay in The pool is really cool there
  • Which mountain do you prefer (Mount Snow, Stratton, Killingon)?
The only good things about Stratton are it's groomers, trees, and lifts Mount Snow has a lot more variety They typically groom less than half the trails on the mountain Ripcord will give you something with Killington-worthy steepness Glades are somewhat lacking though You've got more exposures to play with at Snow
  • Hunter VS Mt Snow | AlpineZone - Northeast Ski and Snowboard Forums
For me Mt Snow is about 3 5 hours, so I don't really consider that a day trip distance If I lived closer I could see it though Catskills are 2-2 5 for me, so those are my choices for day trips (with Platty being 2 5 hours and my first choice as long as conditions allow)
  • Mount Snow v. Killington | AlpineZone - Northeast Ski and Snowboard Forums
Thanks - good stuff So, it appears, Mount Snow does have black challenging terrain My friend's concerns were managing kids and getting to ski He felt Mount Snow had better lift service and was easier to manage and Killington was difficult to navigate

  • Mount Snow 12 13 23 Breezy and Cool - AlpineZone
The very cheap midweek pass and the great conditions at Mount Snow this early despite the non-favorable weather have me happy with Vail I’m sure when paid parking kicks in I may have a different opinion Going to have to see how this goes midweek Probably be back for the last “free” parking day Friday A WTF moment:
  • First Snowfalls, Upcoming weather and Storms of winter 2024-2025. Storm . . .
Almost guarenteed to be a bit cool, breezy, and likely some fresh snow at Mount Snow on Saturday AM, if for no other reason than the annual pond skim starts at 11 Saturday AM! As on of my friends who used to be in the marketing dept of Mount Snow starting back in the ASC days, and is now the GM out at Granite Peak in Wisconsin used to say
  • Mount Snow Nightlife? | AlpineZone - Northeast Ski and Snowboard Forums
The Inn at Mount Snow - the hang out of the ski patrol And late night, you're more than likely to find end up at the Dover Bar and Grill (Dbag's) - a great ski town dive bar (and yes the floor in the men's bathroom IS tilted a bit - I can actually attest to that before drinking one night )
