    When you removed your mods folder, did you also delete the localthumbcache package and the avatarcache package files from your Sims 4 folder as well? Whenever you remove your Mods folder or any contents within that folder, it is best to remove these cache files as well before re-entering the game, as they store memory of having them in your game
