Taxis \Tax"is\, n. [NL., fr. Gr. ta`xis a division or
arrangement, fr. ta`ssein to arrange.]
1. (Surg.) Manipulation applied to a hernial tumor, or to an
intestinal obstruction, for the purpose of reducing it.
