(-l?vd"); p. pr. & vb. n. {Relieving}.] [OE. releven, F.
relever to raise again, discharge, relieve, fr. L. relevare
to lift up, raise, make light, relieve; pref. re- re-
levare to raise, fr. levis light. See {Levity}, and cf.
{Relevant}, {Relief}.]
